'Neogene Uplift of the Barents Sea'

Hydrocarbon exploration in the Norwegian part of the Barents Sea has been rather unsuccessful so far, as the traps seem to have experienced partial or complete drainage of hydrocarbons. Numerous glaciations during the last 3 million years is regarded to be a major cause for this. The present project will focus on this important period in the geological history of the Barents Sea.
