Ivar Grunnaleite holds a PhD in Structural Geology from the University of Bergen (2002), focusing on inversion and compressive structures on the Mid-Norwegian and Barents Sea shelf. From 1996-2011 he worked at IRIS, mainly doing basin modeling, seismic interpretation, structural analysis, reservoir modeling and field work geology. Grunnaleite has long experience using the BMT basin modeling tool, and in seismic interpretation of the Barents Sea and Mid Norway. In addition, he has experience from large projects on the geology of carbonate reservoir analogues and CO2 storage.
